Compact Agility Meets Ruggedness: The 2024 Ford Bronco Sport

A Capable SUV The Bronco Sport is a compact SUV with a wheelbase measuring 105.1 inches, and a width measuring 82.2 inches with the outside mirrors. Its smaller size can be an asset when driving through unusual terrain, especially since it comes with more rugged features like a standard 4x4 system, and five selectable driving modes. This nimble SUV is powered by a 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine with automatic start-stop technology. The powertrain delivers an impressive 181 horsepower, with plenty of get-up-and-go for your next off-roading adventure. The Selectable Driving Modes Ford's terrain management system is known as G.O.A.T. (goes over any type of terrain). The standard system comes with modes for Slippery, Sand, Normal, Eco, and Sport. These modes optimize the Bronco Sport's performance for the terrain you're facing, offering you more traction when you need it the most. In the top-tier Badlands trim, you'll have two additional modes. The Rock Crawl and Mud/Ruts modes offer more opportunities to optimize your performance in unique driving situations. Adding the available 180 degree camera with split-view offers improved visibility when you're driving in these two additional modes, so you can see the terrain you're facing up close. The Black Diamond Off-Road Package Drivers who choose the entry-level Big Bend trim or the Outer Banks trim will want to consider adding the available Black Diamond Off-Road package. This package offers off-roading enthusiasts the opportunity to add even more rugged features to the Bronco Sport. The package will add underbody protection, 17-inch carbonized gray-painted aluminum wheels, and unique black diamond graphics. The package will also add a Class II trailer tow package, giving you the trailer sway control feature. The Safari-Style Roof Even the simple design of the Bronco Sport's roofline proves to be a useful feature for outdoor enthusiasts. Essential Services to Keep Your Ford in Tip-Top Shape

Servicing your Ford is the best way to increase its longevity. Replacing worn parts, checking the health of belts and fluids, and rotating your tires are just a few of the ways to keep your vehicle in great shape. As your Ford dealer, we want to tell you about some of the essential services you'll find in our Ford service center. more From Your Ford Dealer: Essential Services at Your Ford Service Center Oil Change Oil is so important that your engine can't run without it. The oil reduces friction damage to components by lubricating them, and the continual movement of oil helps to reduce your engine temperature. In addition, modern oils contain a variety of additives that help to clean your engine and allow it to work more effectively. During an oil change, we draw some of the oil to test its consistency. If all is well, we then drain the oil. We then check the condition of the oil filter and replace it. Finally, we replace the drain plug and refill your engine with fresh oil. During an oil change service, we'll also test your battery, top up the fluids, check your engine belts, hoses, and filter, rotate your tires, inspect your brakes, and perform a Multi-Point Inspection. Spark Plug Replacement A spark plug is screwed into the top of each engine cylinder. The plug's job is to ignite the fuel-air mixture are the correct time to achieve combustion in the cylinder. Air and fuel mix in the intake manifold, and once they've mixed correctly, they're drawn into the cylinders. The cylinder closes, and the piston rises at speed to compress the mixture, which is then ignited by the spark plug. The plugs gradually wear out and are usually replaced every 100,000 miles.  If your plugs aren't replaced, combustion will become difficult, as worn plugs can misfire or cause your engine to stall. Replacing plugs is a quick process, and you can relax in our comfortable waiting room while we complete the job for you. Brake Pad Replacement Brake pads are small metal components that have a 1/2" thick friction material covering. They fit into the calipers, and they form an important part of your braking system. When you apply the brakes, the calipers are forced against the rotors by hydraulic pressure from the brake fluid. The material covering the pads generates friction against the rotors, which brings your wheels to a stop. The material covering the pads gradually wears down, and you'll hear screeching noises from the brakes when the pads need replacement. Replacing these pads takes only minutes, and you'll note an immediate improvement in your brake's efficiency. These are just some of the many services that will keep your Ford in good health. Contact our service department today at Fury Ford Waconia in Waconia, MN.

The Importance of Regular Oil Changes for Your Ford's Longevity

Your Ford is built for adventure, reliability, and lasting performance, and the secret to safeguarding this legacy lies in something as simple yet crucial as a regular Ford oil change. This essential maintenance task from your Ford dealer is a direct investment in your Ford's longevity. more The Importance of Regular Ford Oil Changes for Your Ford's Longevity Your Engine's Blood Think of engine oil as a bit like your own blood. It courses through the intricate network of your Ford's engine, doing vital tasks along the way. It plays a multifaceted role in ensuring smooth operation and preventing premature wear: Master Lubricant Oil creates a protective film between moving engine parts, drastically reducing friction. Friction leads to heat buildup and rapid wear, so this oil barrier is vital in safeguarding components like pistons, bearings, and the crankshaft. Internal Cleaner Oil also picks up impurities like dirt, metal shavings, and combustion byproducts. These contaminants are carried to the oil filter, where they're trapped, keeping your engine's insides cleaner. Heat Regulator Oil absorbs heat generated by engine operation and helps dissipate it through the oil pan and cooling system. This prevents critical components from overheating and warping. Corrosion Fighter Oil contains additives that help neutralize acids that form as a byproduct of combustion. These acids can eat away at metal surfaces, so oil plays a role in preventing internal corrosion. The Toll of Neglected Oil Changes Old, dirty oil thickens into sludge, compromising lubrication and clogging passageways. Without adequate lubrication, metal-on-metal contact increases dramatically within your engine. Components grind down prematurely, leading to costly repairs or even catastrophic engine failure. Sludge buildup and compromised oil flow also disrupt heat regulation, and the consequent overheating can damage gaskets, warp vital components, and cause complete engine seizure. An engine struggling with excessive friction and internal wear also can't deliver its full potential, so you might notice sluggish acceleration, loss of power, and worsening fuel economy. The Rewards of Routine Maintenance at Your Ford Dealer A well-lubricated, clean-running engine enjoys significantly less wear and tear, allowing it to last hundreds of thousands of miles with proper care. While oil changes are an ongoing expense, they're a small investment compared to the hefty price tag of major engine repairs or replacement. An engine with minimal friction runs more efficiently, too, translating to better mileage and fewer trips to the gas pump. By prioritizing regular oil changes and keeping an eye on the condition of your oil, you give your Ford the best chance at a long and healthy life.
